In 1929, Sancti Petri was an ideal place for tuna fishing, which attracted many people and their families. The area became popular and houses, schools, churches and even a cinema were built. However, fishing began to decline in the 1960s, leading many families to leave the area.
Years later, a large-scale urban project began to be developed in Sancti Petri and in Chiclana de la Frontera, which continues to grow today for the exploitation of this area of great tourist interest.
